Privacy notice

Your information,
handled with care.

Who is responsible

Marcel Nortje is responsible for the personal information collected through marcelnortje.co.za. This portfolio is operated from South Africa.

What is collected

When you send an enquiry, the site collects the details you provide: your name, email address, optional company name, project type and message. It also records basic submission information such as the date, time and page address.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes technical information needed to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated abuse. If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it collects aggregated website usage information. Opening a YouTube video allows YouTube to receive technical information associated with that embedded player.

How it is used

Your information is used to receive, assess and respond to your enquiry, discuss possible work and keep a record of the conversation. It is not sold and will not be used for unrelated marketing unless you separately agree to that.

Who handles it

Enquiries are processed through Norcera Pulse, the enquiry-handling system used by this site. Hosting, security and embedded media services may process limited technical data where required to provide their service. These providers may process data outside South Africa under their own safeguards and privacy terms.

Retention and security

Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage a possible working relationship, maintain appropriate business records or meet legal obligations. Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect it.

Your choices and rights

You may ask what personal information is held about you, request a correction or deletion, or object to particular processing where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator.

To make a privacy request, use the enquiry form, choose “Something else”, and begin your message with “Privacy request”.
